Buying the Best Wholesale Pressure Washer
by

When you want to buy the best pressure washer wholesale, you need to know your available choices in terms of pump, pressure rating, water heating, and power source. And you need to find a supplier who specializes in whole systems as well as pressure washer parts.
The water pump is the heart of your washer system, and you have several choices as to what type of pump to choose. Belt drive pumps run at a lower RPM and tend to last a longer, but they cost about 20% more than a direct drive pump with the same horsepower and PSI rating. You will also need to choose among wobble pumps, axial pumps, and camshaft pumps. Wobble pumps are the least efficient because they experience piston spring resistance on each stroke. Axial pumps have larger oil reservoirs and bearings so that they run cooler and last longer. Camshaft pumps are the most efficient, plus they run cooler than axial pumps. Camshaft pumps can provide 1,000 hours of maintenance free operation and can be easily maintained, while the other types often have to be replaced after 500 hours or so.
You will also have to choose your system based on pressure, measured in pounds per square inch (PSI) and flow, measured in gallons per minute (GPM). Light, occasional jobs like cleaning cars and lawn equipment can be handled by washers rated at 1,300 to 2,200 PSI. For heavier, more frequent jobs like cleaning vinyl siding, you’ll need 2,200 to 3,000 PSI. These are considered professional grade washers and are what contractors use for jobs like paint prep and cleaning heavy duty equipment.
Most systems use unheated water. This is perfectly fine for most applications. However, there are some jobs where hot water is necessary, such as removal of substances like heavy grease. The ones that heat the water use either a diesel or propane burner, and they are significantly more expensive than unheated systems. The heater also requires periodic maintenance for longevity. And you should never “cheat” by trying to draw heated water through cold water systems, because this can seriously damage gaskets and o-rings in the pump.
Electric pressure washers are generally light duty washers that are quieter. They’re great for small jobs, but you do have to run a power cord to them. Today’s electric washers require the use of GFCIs (ground fault circuit interrupters) during operation. Gas powered systems are for more heavy duty applications, and they typically provide pressures of 1,700 to 4,000 PSI. They’re also a bit more portable since you don’t have to run an electrical cord to them. Some can draw water from sources other than a high pressure hose, so you can work even if there’s not a water line as long as you have a reservoir.
Choose a wholesale supplier that specializes in entire systems plus the parts that keep them running smoothly. From motors to seals, you want to be able to get the parts you need from a source that knows all about pressure washers. It is a big investment, and to get the most from it, you need to find a supplier that specializes in pressure washers and everything that goes along with them.
